La Habra Heights Fire Watch

Local FSC

Overview

Since 2007 the specific purpose of La Habra Heights Fire Watch/Fire Safe Council (LHHFW/FSC) has been to provide volunteer fire patrol by being the eyes and ears of wildfire safety and prevention in the community of La Habra Heights via volunteer residents who operate on dual-two-way radios for communications.

Our mission is to initiate, sponsor, promote, and encourage activities that will further the prevention, stability, and welfare of the community of La Habra Heights. We also seek to educate the general public about fire safety and prevention, promote cooperation with local, state, and federal agencies.

Recent Updates

  • In April of 2020, LHHFW/FSC completed a Fire-Safe Community Grant Program won by Edison International. The grant provided the equipment needed to install a radio repeater at the top of Skyline Trail. The grant allowed LHHFW/FSC to increase radio communication capacity for their volunteer resident fire watch members.
