Overview
The Mountain Communities Fire Safe Council (MCFSC) was formed in 2001 with the purpose of educating residents about fire safety in and around Idyllwild, CA. In addition to dedicated efforts towards year-round fuels reduction projects, we are home to a crew of volunteers, The Woodies, who assist our less fortunate residents on a weekly basis.

- CAL FIRE Mountain Fire Prevention and DDT Removal Program: 171.47 acres were treated by removing 762.46 of biomass from 90 parcels.
- CAFSC San Jac Fuels Reduction Program: 110.58 acres were treated by removing 321.62 of biomass from 85 parcels.
