Overview
The Three Rivers Fire Safe Council, established in 2019 by a group of dedicated community volunteers, has already begun several fire prevention and mitigation projects including: Community and curbside chipping program in partnership with the Three Rivers Lions Club; South Fork Rd Evacuation Clearance Project in partnership with Tulare County Fire; Community Wildfire Prevention, Defensible Space, and Home Hardening Education & Outreach campaign, and Community Wildfire Risk Assessment & CWPP development.
Our mission is to foster fire safety and fire prevention, provide education, and exchange information in the communities of Three Rivers and Kaweah, California.
Recent Updates
- The South Fork Evacuation Clearance Project was completed in July of 2020. Just 6 weeks later this clearance was unfortunately utilized when the South Fork residents were evacuated due to the SQF Complex Fire.
- The Community Risk Assessment and CWPP process will launch in January 2021
