2021 Edison International Fire-Safe Community Grant Opportunity

2021 SCE Utility Grant Opportunity-Award Announcement

Five projects were selected as recipients of the 2021 Edison International Utility Grant. These projects support capacity building, community outreach/preparedness, and hazardous fuel treatments in the regions served by Edison International. Congratulations to our grantees!

  • Central Ventura County Fire Safe Council
  • Fire Safe Council East Orange County Canyons
  • Highway 168 Fire Safe Council
  • Long Beach Area Council/Boy Scouts of America

Grant Announcement:

The objective of this project is to assist with and enhance community projects such as capacity building, community outreach/preparedness, and permit-ready hazardous fuel reduction projects.

Funding Available: Five grants of $25,000 are available to Fire Safe Councils or similar organizations within the Edison International service region.

Eligibility: Project must be located within the Edison International Service Area

To Apply: Applications open August 10th, 2021. Visit the Apply for a Grant webpage and select “21 Edison International Fire Safe Council Capacity Program” grant program to begin.

September 8, 2021 Applications due by 11:59PM PST
September/October 2021 Award announcement
October 1 – November 30, 2021 Project performance period
