CFSC Impact, Media & Assets

CFSC COMMUNITY IMPACT DASHBOARD

We are excited to share key metrics about the California Fire Safe Council grant-making an impact in California. This visual report provides charts that aid in analyzing our funding efforts throughout CA from 2014 through 2020 and will be updated in January and July every year. The grants are made possible by strong partnerships with federal, state, and private funders who support our mission to create a fire-resilient California.

How We Help

The California Fire Safe Council (CFSC) was established as a non-profit 501c3 organization in 2002 with the purpose of serving as California’s leader in community resiliency and community wildfire risk reduction. Since then, the CFSC has provided over $100M in grant funding to help build a fire-resilient California. As the wildfire threat has worsened, the CFSC has swiftly evolved to meet the demand. As part of our effort to guide and unify wildfire mitigation efforts across the state, we are proud to share more about the work we have funded, through our federal, state and private partners from 2014-2020.

Since 2014, CFSC has awarded 275 grants for over $30 million dollars, treating over 150,000 acres across California. With these grants, we have advanced a collaboration network that reaches from the Capitol to the neighborhood level and that advocates a consistent set of goals and actions to improve wildfire resiliency.

As the CFSC continues to add new and historical data, we will continue to share this vital information and further expand on outcomes/findings, and other meaningful enhancements.

When viewing the below CFSC impact dashboard, you may view funded projects by County, Source (Federal, State and Private), Organization Type, Congressional District, State Assembly District, and State Senate District. Each view will generate a new set of impact statistics on the following metrics: # plans created, # education products, # education programs, # workshops, #Acres Treated.
